some notes: - i will be slow in the beginning, mostly because i am not at home. i will get replying more consistently when i get to the car, and i'll be fully starting everything up once i get back to my laptop - this is a narrative event, meaning there is more going on than meets the eye! but, well, your characters don't know that :) - once i type up the first message in #liberation-game-booth , feel free to start dropping your characters in!

i am home, give me a few minutes to get my laptop set up and i'll start explaining the meat of it!

@Event Ping i'll give everyone a bit more time to ask something of devinn if they want to, before sending you all off to the different channels. once we're done at the booth i'll also put a small recap of the different channels in here as well, just so any late joiners can wander in at any time

@Event Ping another quick event ping to say you can all start moving into the different channels! here's a quick overview of where you can go! - #comms-stations : this an area of consoles and screens, and is where communications are routed between teams, to make sure everyone stays on the same page! - #tactical-stations : this is another area of screens, as well as several interactible war tables. this is where the tactical overview of vessels and their positions and statuses happens, and where the fleet-level decisions are made - #flight-simulators : this is an area full of flight sim rigs, like miniature faux cockpits. it's where the ship-level controls are, and players need to keep track of their ship - #vr-setups : this area contains a bunch of super elaborate vr setups that allow players to do ground-level combat simulations (edited)

yall i just got hit with a migraine im gonna. head to bed. feel free to continue dividing yourself into the above channels and mingling, and i'll properly get the show on the road tomorrow

also if my replies are slow or i seem distracted: i took my meds twelve hours ago so they have fully stopped working. if i cant manage without them i will locate some Different Ones. ping me if you need anything

i am deeply sorry for not being around a whole lot. i have taken medication so i Hope i can lock in a little once it kicks in, but if not. i have tomorrow off :) and if it runs long thats ok too

also friendly reminder you can just join in whenever! if you want your character to be in a certain channel, just drop them in there and join in, it's absolutely fine

HIIII OKAY CLARIFICATION TIME sorry idk why im yelling. anyway! within a channel, all players can talk to each other at all times. the headsets are connected in VR and flight sim so that youre all constantly talking to each other, within the given channel BUT the players can NOT communicate with people in other channels. only the people in #comms-stations can hear and read everything that is being said in every channel, and respond to it by using #game-callouts to make sure everyone gets accurate intel

@Event Ping beep boop, another ping. i'll give a short recap for anyone who might be lost or late in joining in. friendly reminder that you can always jump in wherever, and you can always ping me if you have no idea where to start! - #comms-stations : Devinn has explained some small things about how Liberation Game came to be, as well as revealed the name of the captain of the ship the entire game was built on, Captain Aberi. they don't seem to want to lift the curtain any further on how everything actually works, though... - #tactical-stations : they helped avert a hostile situation for the flight sim team, and are able to keep track of where everyone is. currently, it seems the VR crew has been left alone on a hostile planet... where did their transport ship go? - #flight-simulators : Jayri had an interaction with a Gorn patrol who seemed suspicious of her movements, as well as the movements of the other pilots... but they've been left alone for the moment. - #vr-setups : the players are about to enter Camp Kharghivkan, where they're not sure what they will find. one thing is clear, though, they're about to enter a hostile situation, so they need to be on their guard, and ready to shoot.

looks like theres a space battle upon us in #flight-simulators , and a shooty one in #vr-setups ...

@Event Ping teehee uh. yeah sorry for dying my loves. BUT! this does mean youre all getting a free recap from me, so if anyone needed that to feel comfortable jumping in, this is your chance! - #comms-stations this is where devinn is hanging out, who seems to have a lootttt of information about the game and how it was developed. he's here to help out with all the communication and relaying of orders! - #tactical-stations they can see all the ships and where they're at in this area, as well as the vr people and their assigned npcs. they're also there to make tactical decisions for the flight simmers... - #flight-simulators the flight simmers, who are about to enter a space battle! aside from three fighters who were confronting a rebellion-aligned ship, three more ships just uncloaked, including two smaller fighters and a large defensive ship. it's a real all hands on deck situation - #vr-setups the vr players on the other hand have received the task of fighting their way through a camp of some sort and freeing all the inmates they can. they had their first serious firefight and sustained some injuries, but came out of it alright. one of the NPCs guided them towards the courtyard, where they will likely find their first inmates

@Event Ping alright so! flight sim team is almost at the point of victory! the vr team has completed a mission, and is now on downtime during missions while their avatars get repaired. there's been some things that don't particularly add up, though... the comms team has been talking to devinn, who seems to be stressed.... i wonder why.... there's not a whole lot more to go now, but there is still some stuff you don't know! luckily, there seems to be a particular NPC who could help with that

@Event Ping thanks everyone for hanging around!! im sorry it took so long, during my next event i will be in yuga's house, so no getting stuck on it for a week because of work. friendly reminder to make an intel character for that if you don't have one already
