USS Eventide / etd-bridge
Avatar
Narrator BOT 09-Oct-26 04:27 PM
The Eventide was en route to the planet Bercumitor, one of the planets within the few systems that remained loyal to the Breld Company. Already strained, the company’s attempt at attacking the Federation likely wouldn’t end well, but Breld has a good amount of resources, and any potential attack against the Federation is worth looking into. Kya took a breath as she sat at the tactical console, stretching her arms behind her softly as she got ready for the potential of battle. She spoke in Bajoran softly. “[Prophets, watch over us in this fight. May our shields never break and may our hull remain unscarred.]” She said with her eyes closed before returning to checking all of their tactical systems.

Woo! Back at the helm! She had practically skipped onto the bridge when she first got here from sheer joy of being able to drive, but she’d chilled out once she actually sat down. So, Khirena was just at the helmsman’s console, keeping the Eventide en route to Bercumitor. What a strange thing, for a colony to attack the Federation. Didn’t they know they’d be stopped quickly? It was like tossing a rock at one of those really big Earth animals that she was pretty sure were called elephants.. or something like that, at least.

Lt. Cdr. Vara'l tr'Hara | TAC BOT 09-Oct-26 04:44 PM
Vara'l proceeded to stride onto the bridge then and, turning as he looked around, then headed straight to tactical. Once he arrived there, he tapped on the tactical console he was at and proceeded to shunt systems to himself or to the other Lieutenant Commander there as he dispersed the workload of getting the ships tactical systems ready between the two of them. "Jolan tru, Lieutenant Commander." The Chief Tactical officer stated then as he looked at the Lieutenant commander who he'd regularly seen up here on missions. "You take a chunk of the systems prep, I'll see to the rest." He directed as he then turned and started to work.

Lt. Cdr. Kya Pok | TAC BOT 09-Oct-26 04:46 PM
“Jolan tru, and understood, sir.” Kya said with a hum as she continued her prep work with a small nod.

Rai was here! In command! Just sorta person sitting emoji. He waved to the people who arrived, recognising most of them. "Jolan tru, welcome," He greeted with a polite bow to Vara'l.

A subspace communique appeared on the comms console. Seemed someone from Starfleet was giving Eventide a call.

Theres nothing to fix yet, so she’s restless.

Appearing on the viewscreen was an older El-Aurian man, with silvery hair and piercing green eyes behind a pair of large glasses. A lieutenant commander, from the pips on his purple collar. “Hello, Eventide. Lt. Cdr. Xiroc, Starfleet Intelligence. How are things proceeding?”
Avatar
Lt. Aatha Daso | ENG BOT 09-Oct-26 05:09 PM
She is clearly not needed here, so she leaves just as quietly as she arrives, rushing to shuttle bay. She knows things are about to get messy
Avatar
Lt. Cdr. Kya Pok | TAC BOT 09-Oct-26 05:15 PM
Seeing as nobody else was talking (and we have a plot to move forward) Kya spoke up. “We are currently en route, nothing to report as of yet sir.” She said respectfully to her fellow in pip rank that probably outranked her somehow.

Lt. Cdr. Suun Zalan | OPS BOT 09-Oct-26 05:16 PM
She stepped through the doors, joining the others with Blegh at her side. “Good day. Sorry for my lateness.” She nodded to the others, taking her conn as she looked to the viewscreen. Another El-Aurian, interesting.

“Commander Pok,” Xiroc nodded toward the TAC officer, “You were present during Eventide’s previous encounter with Breld,” Not a question, but a statement, “I’ve had some experience with them as well, working alongside a whistleblower.” He began tapping at a PADD, “I’m happy to hear everything’s going well. I’m sending along the information we’ve gathered concerning Bercumitor. There is a scientific facility on the planet, where we believe Breld is working on experimental weaponry using stolen technology. We’ve heard reports from our contacts in the Delta Alliance that Breld was sticking their nose where they shouldn’t.”

Lt. Cdr. Timi Kestrel | INT BOT 09-Oct-26 05:21 PM
Timi was standing to the side, not manning a particular console for now, but instead taking in the comings and goings of other people as well as what was going on on the viewscreen. Experimental weaponry based on stolen technology, huh? How ambitious.
Avatar
Narrator BOT 09-Oct-26 05:23 PM
The information would appear on the tactical console, a full scan of Bercumitor as well as the coordinates for the scientific facility. Information on the stolen tech was scant. It was something from the Delta Quadrant, though, which could end up being quite dangerous. (edited)

Vara'l returned the bow with one of his own. "Riov." Before he returned to normal posture and continued to work! He listened as the intelligence officer talked and then accessed the tactical scans, assessed it. "..This has the potential to be very bad." The Romulan mused. "Though the information here is scant."

Lt. Cdr. Suun Zalan | OPS BOT 09-Oct-26 05:26 PM
“How bad?” Her brows creased as they lowered, “What exactly are we to be expecting?”
Avatar
Lt. Cdr. Kya Pok | TAC BOT 09-Oct-26 05:26 PM
Kya hummed as she overlooked the information. “Delta tech.” She said softly. “Hm, yes. This will likely be a bit of a struggle. They are a company, are we aware of them trying to sell this?”
Avatar
Narrator BOT 09-Oct-26 05:27 PM
“Unknown. Breld kept themselves under wraps while in the Delta Quadrant, only being discovered by some of our allied Hirogen,” Xiroc folded his arms, “We haven’t heard any reports from our Orion Syndicate contacts on Breld tapping into the black market just yet, no.” (edited)

Lt. Cdr. Blegh Tollum | SEC BOT 09-Oct-26 05:28 PM
All of this sounded very not great. Blegh nodded thoughtfully, finding her way to the security post, listening intently.
Avatar
Lt. Cdr. Suun Zalan | OPS BOT 09-Oct-26 05:30 PM
“Mm.” She settled in at her console, listening whilst her mind made connections between what she’d read and what she was hearing now.

Lt. Cdr. Timi Kestrel | INT BOT 09-Oct-26 05:37 PM
So whatever they found, they were using purely for their own ends. An attack on Starfleet or the Federation seemed unlikely, based on a very easy risk-benefit analysis Timi just did where the risk was being wiped out by Starfleet and the benefit was, well, next to nothing. But then that did leave the question of what they were using the tech for.
Avatar
Narrator BOT 09-Oct-26 05:38 PM
That question would be answered very soon, it seemed. Bercumitor was fast approaching.
Avatar
Lt. Cdr. Kya Pok | TAC BOT 09-Oct-26 05:43 PM
She coughed softly. “We are approaching Bercumitor, everyone to stations.” She said with a crack of her neck. “Showtime people, be ready for hostility.”

“Good luck, Eventide.” Xiroc gave a nod to the bridge crew before hanging up.

Lt. Cdr. Suun Zalan | OPS BOT 09-Oct-26 05:43 PM
“Lovely.” She murmured, before asking, “Are we hoping to land, or just hover?”
Avatar
Narrator BOT 09-Oct-26 05:46 PM
The mountainous planet of Bercumitor appeared on the viewscreen as Eventide dropped out of warp. There didn’t appear to be anything in orbit around the planet, meaning that a repeat of the last encounter with a Breld cruiser may be avoided…

Lt. Cdr. Suun Zalan | OPS BOT 09-Oct-26 05:47 PM
“I’ll go down with the team.” She stated, moving to stand once again after just sitting down, “I will see you all whenever you end up.”

As soon as the call dropped, Timi was off the bridge and out to the shuttlebay. He wasn't much for sitting around.

Kya hummed. “I will remain here. Good luck all.” She said as she took a few scans of the planet, just for anything of note. “Stay safe.”

“Prophets fucking fuck.” She mumbled to herself as she pulled up the map of the bunker. “Let me see here.”
Avatar
Narrator BOT 09-Oct-26 08:00 PM
The bunker was constructed like a W, with the central corridor leading toward a back corridor, connecting to an east and west one. Multiple rooms were connected to various corridors, including a sleeping quarters, a canteen, an engineering lab, and an office. There was only one way in, and one way out: The main entrance.
Avatar
Lt. Cdr. Kya Pok | TAC BOT 09-Oct-26 08:08 PM
“Which side is the lab in…” She said checking the map.
Avatar
Narrator BOT 09-Oct-26 08:09 PM
The engineering lab was connected to the west corridor, meaning that the away team would have to navigate through the main, reach the back, and then get to the west.
Avatar
Lt. Cdr. Kya Pok | TAC BOT 09-Oct-26 08:20 PM
“Going to rip out my eyebrows.” She muttered as she quickly mapped a route to the lab and office. She also quickly did an extra sensor scan for anything out of the ordinary, in case the company got any funny ideas.
Avatar
Lt. Kureen-Et | SCI BOT 10-Oct-26 05:52 PM
It had been a while since the away team landed. If there were any updates on their status, the bridge would be the place to learn them. Kureen-Et made their way there, unsure quite how to talk with their fellow crew considering the situation. Without mulling over it much, they waved.
Avatar
Lt. Cdr. Kya Pok | TAC BOT 10-Oct-26 09:03 PM
Kya hummed as she quickly tried to pull up a map of the engineering vents, and see if anything was on the path to the western corridor.
Avatar
Narrator BOT 11-Oct-26 05:21 PM
Indeed, the lab was to the west. As for the vents…my goodness. The venting for this structure was dense, running through a nearby hill in order to get clean air down into the underground bunker. Layer after layer of ventilation and pipes…

Lt. Cdr. Kya Pok | TAC BOT 11-Oct-26 05:22 PM
“Prophets.” She muttered.

She sighed and punched the wall quickly, stressed out of her mind. She hated not being able to help, even as Paco’s cries came through the radio. All she could do was sit and pray. “Come on….”
Avatar
Cdt. Khirena t’Rehu | CMD BOT 11-Oct-26 09:03 PM
One beam-up later… ahh. Back on the Eventide, where she belonged. Khirena could practically kiss the helmsman’s console. She took her rightful place, ready to set the course back to home when she got the order and lock in on what made her happy- flying. And to conveniently not think about what she had just seen on the ground. She was never going on the ground again, thank you very much, even if it meant she had to glue herself to her seat.

Lt. Cdr. Suun Zalan | OPS BOT 11-Oct-26 09:05 PM
Suun took her station, silent and more staring at her screen than actually doing anything. Gods, it would be good to go home.

Lt. Cdr. Vara'l tr'Hara | TAC BOT 11-Oct-26 09:24 PM
Once they returned to the ship, Vara'l headed right back to the bridge and resumed his post at Tactical. He elected to make no comment about the EMP fritzing his implants or anything. That'd been temporary and resolved. No, he just returned to the bridge and got right back to work.

She spun around in her chair with a sigh. “So, have fun on your field trip kids?”
Avatar
Lt. Cdr. Suun Zalan | OPS BOT 11-Oct-26 09:25 PM
Suun just stared, before being unable to stop herself from cracking up. “Good map work, lieutenant commander.” She sighed, rubbing her eyes.
Avatar
Lt. Cdr. Timi Kestrel | INT BOT 11-Oct-26 09:27 PM
Timi returned to the bridge as well, entirely unharmed and a little miffed at what the real problem had turned out to be. What a boring result for such a disproportionately dangerous situation... "Time to head home," he signed, once more not taking up a console directly but instead replicating a PADD to start writing his report while they were travelling back.

“Thank you Sunn, I pride myself on being the guy in the chair.” She said with a warm smile. “Shame about not being able to deal with those miners, had a few torpedoes I owed them from last time.”
